Wow!! Woke up with Shirley Temple´s voice ¨Tomorrow, tomorrow!¨in my head. At 6 Mary poked her head in like we´d agreed upon and cheerily said ¨Colleen - ¡Rica, esta mañana!¨ Yay for walking partners. Walked in surrounding neighborhoods for an hour, past the site of the fair I went to with her on my first day here long ago. Yogurt and granola and banana and now here I am in ICADS to finish up these papers and evaluations.
The UK safety guidelines are intense but for us these apply:
Baggage policy for all flights: NO LIQUIDS OR GELS OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED IN CARRY-ON BAGGAGE. ITEMS MUST BE IN CHECKED BAGGAGE. This includes all beverages, shampoo, suntan lotion, creams, tooth paste, hair gel, and other items of similar consistency.
Exception: Baby formula or breast milk if a baby or small child is traveling; prescription medicine with a name that matches the passenger's ticket; and insulin and essential other non-prescription medicines
Beverages purchased in the sterile area must be consumed before boarding because they will not be permitted onboard the aircraft.
Not too bad. Ha, hope we´re not too thirsty! Will finish this later.

Ok, think I´m on these ICADS computers for the last time. Just emptied my bolsita here, the little bag where they´ve kept our valuables. Completely forgot about my driver´s license, strange to see. Turned in the paper, went to the architect college for a final time for lunch, went to Plaza del Sol to buy final gifts. About to go do more taking care of business things. Dinner with Mary and then over to her sister´s house.
I feel wiped out, exhausted. At this moment, ready to go home, and more immediately, for the rush I´ll no doubt feel as we cross into US territory. The flight will leave in about exactly 24 hours. Glad Erika´s on there with me.
Next time, from the United States-- ! Thanks for reading. What an aventura! More reflection later no doubt, and of a more enthusiastic kind.
P.S. Dear Mary in the photo.
